The IUIU Abu Mayanja Scholarship

The objective of the Islamic University in Uganda is to produce morally upright graduates with international recognition, who cherish the core values of Islam. In collaboration with the Abu Mayanja Foundation, the University instituted a scholarship award to honor the memory of the Late Al Hajji Abu Mayanja, who also served as the University Rector at inception.

This program was instituted in 2007 and currently presents 1 scholarship annually.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants for an IUIU Abu Mayanja Foundation scholarship/award shall meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Applicant must have completed at least one (1) academic semester of full-time college work at IUIU.
2. Applicant must have a college grade point average of not less than the equivalent of a 4.0 on a 5.0 scale.
3. Applicant does not have to be an IUIU student member in good standing to apply, but must become one before receiving a scholarship.
